Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a common vaginal infection that occurs when there is an overgrowth of normal bacteria that live in the vagina. This bacterial imbalance causes symptoms of vaginal discharge and a foul-smelling or “fishy” vaginal odor. Additional symptoms may include dysuria (pain during urination), and vaginal itching or irritation. Our clinician will review your history and symptoms and carry out necessary testing and treatment, including ordering an antibiotic.
If you are sexually active and do not desire pregnancy at this time, consider birth control medication. Our clinician will discuss with you the method of birth control that best suits you.
Highly effective (99%) hormonal birth control injection when administered every 12-13 weeks. This method is convenient and may be ideal for those who may miss doses with other types of birth control.
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the difficulty or inability to obtain or maintain a penile erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. ED can be caused by various physical or psychological conditions such as low testosterone, hormone imbalances, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and stress and emotional issues. Our providers can assist with determining the cause of your ED and offer a tailored treatment plan with non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic interventions for those that qualify.
Consider testing to see if Testosterone Replacement Therapy is clinically indicated to aid symptoms.
Herpes Simplex is a virus that is incurable, but treatable. There are 2 different forms of HSV. HSV-1 is the virus that causes cold sores or fever blisters in or around the mouth and nose. It can be spread to another person by kissing, sharing cups or utensils or oral sex. Genital herpes can be caused by HSV-1 or HSV-2, and can be transmitted through oral, vaginal, or anal sex. Symptoms can include genital sores, blisters and fever. Our clinician can prescribe prompt treatment with antiviral medication, which can significantly reduce the frequency, severity and comorbidities from herpes simplex virus.
HIV prophylaxis for individuals who are at increased risk of exposure to HIV. HIV is preventable with pharmacologic interventions such as Truvada and Descovy. These medications and others can treat HIV and reduce the risk of contracting HIV infection.
Post-exposure HIV prophylaxis for individuals who were potentially exposed to HIV within the past 72 hours. Nonoccupational HIV Postexposure Prophylaxis (nPEP) is initiation of antiretroviral therapy (ART) to individuals who have experienced a nonoccupational HIV exposure ie. condomless vaginal or anal intercourse or exposure to blood or contaminated body fluids such as from IV drug use. Our clinicians can offer support, testing, and nPEP amongst other modalities.
Mastitis is inflammation and at times infection of the breast tissue usually caused by blocked milk ducts. It usually affects breastfeeding women, more commonly in the first 3 months postpartum. Symptoms of mastitis include abnormal swelling, pain, induration, redness, fever and chills. Our providers can examine and treat cases of mastitis with antibiotics if necessary so that you can get back to what matters the most.
If you are unsure of your pregnancy status or need to confirm first-trimester pregnancy, our clinicians can perform an in-office urine HCG and/or lab send-out blood HCG. HCG is a hormone that is produced only during pregnancy, by the placenta when a fertilized egg is implanted into the uterine wall. Symptoms of pregnancy vary for different individuals and can include a late menstrual period, fatigue, increased urge to urinate, nausea, vomiting among others. Our clinicians can assess pregnancy symptoms and offer accurate testing to determine your status.
Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomoniasis, Syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C. Our clinic offers a full panel STI screening for the individual and their sexual partner(s). If you or your partner have an STI, both need to be tested and potentially treated. Our clinicians can ensure that you are safe and properly educated and prepared.
Testosterone is a hormone produced in the male testes (testicles). Low testosterone can cause many side effects including low libido, fewer erections, body and facial hair loss, and fatigue amongst others. Our providers can clinically diagnose low testosterone and offer testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) when clinically indicated.
Take this questionnaire to determine if you are at risk for low testosterone
